Job summary

CFHE in Panorama City, CA is hiring a Front Office Medical Assistant to support the Pediatrics department. You will verify patient information, record medical history, prepare patients for examination, and assist with basic procedures.

This full-time role requires Medical Assistant certification, Spanish language ability, CPR/BLS, and at least 1 year MA and receptionist experience. You will manage appointments, chart documentation, referrals, and maintain rooms and supplies.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification/ Diploma required.
• Spanish language ability is imperative.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year MA experience and 1 year receptionist experience in medical office.
• Knowledge of CPT codes and insurance types (Medi-Cal/HMO/PPO).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; answer inquiries and direct calls.
• Screen, direct or refer phone calls as needed.
• Schedule appointments for patients.
• Document patient information in charts and verify accuracy.
• Maintain patient flow and exam room readiness.
• Stock, clean and sterilize exam rooms and equipment.
• Record and manage referrals and authorizations; follow up on referrals.
• Assist with training new personnel.
