Job summary

CentroMed is a non-profit primary care provider operating clinics in San Antonio and New Braunfels. We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to greet patients, register them, and coordinate data entry to ensure timely program access and accurate billing.

The role supports financial reviews, billing, and QA activities across the clinic. The CSR will handle patient intake, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and maintain compliant records while providing excellent customer service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General experience working in a health care setting.
• Experience with medical data entry preferred.
• Strong clerical skills including keyboarding and basic math.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and update accounts in the system.
• Enter charges for self-pay, insurance, and eligibility; reconcile daily.
• Determine eligibility for programs and exemptions.
• Assist patients and visitors; answer phones and identify clinic.
• Explain insurance coverage and verification processes.
• Schedule patient appointments per established protocols.
• Maintain accurate encounter entries and logs; update demographics.
• Participate in outreach activities and other duties as assigned.
