Job summary

Tampa Family Health Centers (TFHC) is seeking a Bilingual Patient Scheduling Coordinator to support our call center operations in Tampa, FL. This role handles inbound calls, schedules patient appointments, and ensures accurate documentation in the EHR, with communication in English and Spanish.

The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, maintains confidentiality, and adapts to a fast-paced environment within a mission-driven healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience in a healthcare, call center, or high-volume environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Prior experience in a medical, dental, or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently.
• Enter and update patient demographic information in the Electronic Health Record.
• Route messages to the appropriate health centers, departments, and staff.
• Provide high-quality customer service to patients, callers, and internal team members.
• Follow call center procedures, workflows, and scripting guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and TFHC policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
