Job summary

HALO Diagnostics in Houston, TX is seeking a Patient Navigator (Patient Support & Phlebotomy) for hereditary cancer testing. The role is full-time, in-person, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule at the Houston location.

Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills is required, along with 2+ years of clinical experience and current BLS certification. HIPAA and EMR documentation are essential. Compensation includes stock options and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

Nationally certified phlebotomist with venipuncture skills.
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience (front office or back office).
Current BLS certification.
Experience with diagnostic/genetic specimen collection.

Responsibilities

Guide patients through the hereditary cancer genetic testing process from start to finish.
Provide clear, compassionate education on testing, procedures, and next steps.
Serve as the primary patient contact to ensure a supportive and informed experience.
Conduct structured patient consultations to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
Build strong relationships with partner site staff, providers, and clinical teams.
Own patient cases, scheduling, follow-ups, and workflow coordination.
Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
