Responsibilities include processing financial aid applications, providing price quotes, and coordinating with providers to ensure accurate billing. The position emphasizes patient advocacy and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CAC and CAAS certifications.
• Minimum of one year of experience in hospital site financial counseling or related fields.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, SSDI, and SSI.
• Knowledge of the 501r regulation.
• Familiarity with Connect for Health Colorado programs.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients and screen for potential Medicaid/state public benefit eligibility.
• Educate patients about the Affordable Care Act and marketplace options.
• Review and process financial assistance applications and verify documents.
• Provide price quotes and assist uninsured maternity program participants.
• Explain benefits and manage billing questions and payment arrangements.
