Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist in Sacramento, CA for a full-time, on-site role. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, assist with billing tasks, and coordinate with insurers and external partners to ensure smooth visits.

The position emphasizes excellent patient experience at the front desk, with benefits and opportunities for growth within outpatient centers. Multilingual candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum: 1 Year of Medical Office Experience.
• Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Preferred: Insurance Verification Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
