Job summary

Matter Health is hiring a Bilingual Care Support Specialist in Memphis, TN to act as the primary contact for patients and caregivers by phone, answering calls in English and Spanish and routing to the appropriate care team. This non-clinical role focuses on administrative support, appointment coordination, and accurate documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish required and demonstrated in interactions.
• 1–2 years of healthcare experience, preferably in patient-support or call center.
• Experience handling high-volume inbound calls in a service setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for inbound patient and caregiver calls in English and Spanish.
• Route inquiries to Care Coordinators, NP, RN, or departments.
• Escalate urgent or clinical concerns per protocol.
• Coordinate appointments and manage records/e-fax.
• Document interactions in the EMR and follow up on messages.
• Maintain call queues with low hold times and high first-contact resolution.
• Support non-telephonic admin tasks like data entry and data cleanup.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
