Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Totowa, NJ is seeking a patient registration clerk to support the Cardiology Department. You will collect demographic, financial and insurance information, screen patients before services, and handle co-pays while ensuring prompt service.

You'll enter data accurately, refer Self Pay patients to financial services when needed, and act as a liaison with other ancillary departments to keep patient flow smooth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related work experience.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset; Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient registration and collect demographic, financial and insurance information.
• Screen patients before services and collect co-pays.
• Refer Self Pay patients to appropriate financial services.
• Enter data accurately and serve as liaison to ancillary departments.
