Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Patient Services Associate Float (PSAF) to support multiple offices across Patient Access. The role includes patient intake, registration, scheduling, and front-end duties in a dynamic, cross-departmental environment.

Responsibilities include greeting and guiding patients, collecting copays, updating insurance information, and ensuring smooth patient flow. Flexibility with shifts (days/nights) and locations is required in this full-time role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Required).
• Medical office experience, or 2 years of customer service experience (Required).
• Associates Degree (Preferred).
• Cross Trained in all Patient Access Departments (Required).
• Must complete EPIC schedgistration training/tests (Required).

Responsibilities

• Assist multiple practice/departments across Patient Access to maintain patient/customer focus.
• Handle arrival/departure activities and patient check-out procedures.
• Manage calls, schedule appointments, and update insurance/billing information.
• Perform point of service activities including copays and signatures.
• Communicate patient flow and wait times to management.
• Obtain referrals and pre-authorizations as required.
