Job summary

Alivio Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Patient Registration Representative in Chicago to deliver superior patient service and act as a liaison between patients, providers, and staff.

You will maintain patient demographics, insurance records, and handle payments, scheduling, and confidentiality across the Practice Management system. The role requires at least one year in customer service or a medical office, with bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or Medical Office Assistant program.
• At least one year in customer service or medical office.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with a courteous, professional manner.
• Check in patients with or without appointments and register new patients.
• Pre-register new patients and newborns; verify demographics in PM system.
• Collect and verify insurance information; collect payments and issue receipts.
• Balance and secure cash; prepare daily deposits as required.
• Assist with insurance forms, including Medicaid/MPE and newborn applications.
• Schedule and manage appointments; answer calls and take messages.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; perform other duties as assigned.
