Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of business/financial/physician practice experience, e.g. patient accounts and collections.
• Knowledge of CPT and diagnosis coding preferred.
• EPIC system knowledge preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills required.
• Comfort with collecting payments and counseling patients professionally.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle large volumes of inbound and outbound calls with scripted guidance.
• Schedule appointments and enter data into EPIC.
• Verify insurance and obtain service authorizations.
• Review patient account details and provide financial counseling.
• Resolve front-end edits, rejections, and information requests to meet goals.
