Job summary

The People’s Music School in Chicago is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator for Uptown Academy to support daily program operations and act as a connector among students, families, faculty and staff.

The role requires bilingual Spanish, high organization, and proficiency with Google Workspace; the candidate will assist with attendance, events, and communications, and must be available after school hours and some evenings for events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or arts administration preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Organized and reliable with professional conduct.
• Pass CPS background check.
• Experience collaborating with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Program Manager.
• Assist with day-to-day operations at the program site.
• Translate communications from English to Spanish.
• Support attendance, student outcomes, fundraising, and inventories.
• Assist with events, concerts, and field trips.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
