Job summary

Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) in Norwalk, CT is seeking a Parents as Teachers (PAT) educator to deliver home visitation services. The role focuses on parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting, and family well-being within a hybrid work model.

The position requires bilingual Spanish and experience with ethnically diverse families; an associate’s degree is mandatory with bachelor’s preferred. Evening/weekend hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with ethnically diverse families with young children.
• Experience delivering services in home and community settings.
• Valid Connecticut driver’s license and willingness to drive.
• Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment activities as applicable.
• Conduct initial and annual family-centered assessments.
• Develop, monitor and review goals with families.
• Provide ongoing home visits focused on parent-child interaction and family well-being.
• Utilize PAT curriculum to share research-based information with families.
• Organize group connections to build social ties among families.
• Perform developmental screenings and health reviews for enrolled children.
• Connect families to community resources to meet goals.
• Maintain documentation and deadlines for program reports.
• Participate in supervision and biweekly staff meetings.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and renew PAT certification.
• Collaborate with PAT supervisor and program leadership.
