Job summary

The Partnership is seeking a Parent Educator in Dover, NJ. In this role, you will implement the Parents as Teachers model to support families in promoting optimal child development and school readiness. Responsibilities include conducting home visits, providing guidance, and fostering relationships with families. You must have a High School Diploma (GED acceptable), relevant experience with children, and bilingual fluency in English and Spanish. The position aims to empower caregivers and strengthen families to achieve positive outcomes for children from birth through kindergarten.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working with children (0-5 years of age) and families.
• Knowledge of normal child growth/development and parent-child relationships.
• Knowledgeable about community resources in Warren County.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits providing parent education, developmental guidance, and support.
• Maintain regular relationships with client families and establish trust.
• Assist families in establishing and accomplishing goals.

Skills

Bilingual Fluency in English and Spanish

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to relate to families from a strength-based model

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
