Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 72 college credits from a higher ed institution, a degree, or pass ETS assessment.
• Fluent in Spanish and English preferred.
• Experience with pupils in individual and small group settings.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain consistent attendance.
• Willing to relocate or have duties reassigned as enrollment and program needs change.
• Able to assist students with personal management (toileting, eating, hygiene).

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the teaching team following lesson plans and teacher guidance.
• Prepare and assemble teaching materials as requested by the teacher.
• Assist teachers in supervision and testing and evaluating student work.
• Help students develop English language and access curriculum.
• Follow and implement detailed behavior management plans; use de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Take directions and work with little supervision; maintain confidentiality.
• Observe and record student behavior and academic performance; maintain positive relationships.
