Qualifications

• Two years of study at an institution of higher education, it must meet the criteria of the Higher Education Act, Section 101 (a). All classes must be at level 100 or higher, OR
• Associate’s degree OR
• Pass the ETS Para Pro Assessment test.
• Experience working with P-12 students.
• First Aid/CPR card or ability to obtain.
• Demonstrate basic computer literacy skills.
• Demonstrate consistent punctuality and attendance.
• Demonstrate flexibility with schedule changes as students’ needs change.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated teacher and other staff to meet instructional goals.
• Develop plans, materials, and activities for students under supervision.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents and community.
• Support positive behavior and maintain learning environments.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and records.
• Work collaboratively with supervising teachers.
• Keep documentation/data for teachers when requested.
• Direct contact with students in classroom and supervision roles.
