Job summary

DSV is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Carteret, NJ. The role focuses on supervising inbound/outbound, labor management, and slotting, ensuring safe, efficient operations and client satisfaction.

You will lead a team, coordinate with client reps, and drive continuous improvement across daily activities. The ideal candidate has supervision experience in logistics, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage schedules, training, and performance

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years’ experience in logistics/distribution environment.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Preferred: MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly activities and plan improvements.
• Keep senior management and client reps informed of critical issues.
• Develop and manage systems for safe, profitable operations; meet KPI and SOP requirements.
• Schedule daily work by reviewing orders and customer instructions; assign duties.
• Train new staff and evaluate trainee progress; delegate responsibilities as needed.
• Provide leadership and direction to HR; participate in performance reviews and promotions.
