When the shift starts at 6:00 AM, you are already on the floor. As a Bilingual Onsite Supervisor, you are the face of Midway Staffing at our Niles client site, and your job is to make sure every associate is safe, coached up, and doing their best work. If you like being out with the team instead of behind a desk, and you know how to bring a crew along, this role was built for you.
This is a floor leadership seat. Most of your day is spent walking the operation, coaching associates, keeping safety front and center, and making sure every hour worked is captured right. A smaller part of the role, roughly 15% of your time, goes to recruiting so the site stays fully staffed. You do all of it in English and in Spanish, because that is how this workforce talks.
Midway Staffing is one of the fastest-growing light industrial staffing firms in the country, and we got there by doing things differently. We do not just fill open seats. We connect great people with great opportunities, solve real problems for our clients, and build relationships that last.
When you join us, you join a team that follows through, pushes past obstacles, and wins together. That is not a slogan on a wall. It is how we operate every single day.
You will spend most of your day on your feet. Walking lines, checking in with associates, catching the small stuff before it turns into a big problem. Someone skipping a step, a new hire who looks unsure, a crew that is falling behind on rate. The supervisors who do well here are the ones who notice things early and step in calmly, not the ones who wait for the client to point it out.
Coaching is a big part of the job, and it does not look like a lecture. It looks like showing someone the right way, explaining why it matters, and checking back an hour later to see how they are doing. Some associates need encouragement, some need a straight conversation, and you will learn to read the difference. You will have those conversations in English and in Spanish, often with people who are new, nervous, or frustrated, and they will trust you because you listen first and do what you say you will do.
Safety is never something you get to later. If you see something wrong, you stop it, fix it, and make sure the team understands why. Timekeeping matters just as much, because a missed punch or a wrong timecard is someone's paycheck. Details count here, and the client notices when they are handled right.
Nobody is standing over your shoulder. You will have support from leadership, but on your site, you are the one making calls. If you see a problem, you fix it or you flag it. By 2:00 PM, the goal is simple: everyone went home safe, the hours are right, and tomorrow is already covered.
