Job summary

Focus People is seeking a bilingual Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator for a manufacturing environment. This hands-on role spends the majority of time on the production floor, promoting safe work practices and driving a proactive safety culture.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing safety (EHS), fluent English and Spanish, and strong OSHA knowledge with experience in incident investigations and safety training.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• 5+ years of manufacturing safety or EHS experience (minimum 3 years).
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Experience leading employee safety training.

Responsibilities

• Work on the manufacturing floor with employees to promote safe work practices.
• Lead safety training, toolbox talks, and new hire orientation in English and Spanish.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Investigate accidents, injuries and near misses; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and safety documentation/regulatory records.
• Collaborate with Plant Leadership, HR, Maintenance, and Operations to strengthen safety culture.
• Coach employees and supervisors on safe work practices and accountability.
• Manage Workers' Compensation documentation and assist with return-to-work processes.
• Provide basic first aid for minor injuries when needed.
• Support safety initiatives including Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, PPE, forklift safety, emergency preparedness, hearing conservation, and respiratory protection.
• Assist HR with employee engagement activities and safety program administration.
