Qualifications

• One year of experience handling traffic, documentation, and customer service for ocean transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required; Spanish is also required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily truck capacity aligns with service expectations and margins.
• Develop and maintain daily shipment schedules and optimize routes.
• Plan for peak periods and coordinate additional resources as needed.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Organize transportation, including booking carriers and routes, with timelines.
• Monitor vendor service agreements to match requested services.
• Track chassis usage to avoid extra charges and optimize container turns.
• Maintain communication with Ocean Lines and Terminal for container updates.
• Meet and exceed client expectations and requirements.
• Plan daily receiving and dispatching according to customer needs.
• Escalate issues with data to Managers and Directors as needed.
• Monitor load plans and inquiries from customer service and resolve them.
