somamedicalcenter is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team in Orlando. The role focuses on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to pediatric patients while collaborating with our Medical Director and staff across departments.

The ideal candidate will hold Florida APRN licensure, have at least one year of NP experience, and be committed to preventive care, education, and contributing to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Florida APRN license (APRN) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document patient histories and exam findings.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe treatments, meds, therapies, and vaccines.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention and health maintenance.
• Communicate test results and treatment plans clearly to patients.
• Monitor outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.
• Lead and coordinate care with other providers and staff.
• Refer patients to specialists when appropriate.

These individuals will collaborate closely with our Medical Director and other departments in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, document, and maintain detailed patient histories and examination findings.
• Diagnose health conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments, medications, therapies, and vaccinations.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests to support medical decision-making.
• Educate patients and community members on disease prevention, lifestyle changes, and health maintenance.
• Communicate test results and treatment plans effectively to patients.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.
• Lead and coordinate care activities with other healthcare professionals and support staff.
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary.
• Participate in clinical research and contribute to continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.
• Offer consulting services to physicians and participate in health programs when applicable.

Requirements

• Valid Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Florida
