Nemours Children's Health in Orlando, FL is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) to join our Alafaya Primary Care Office. You will provide comprehensive pediatric medical and nursing care, perform exams, order and interpret diagnostics, and coordinate with subspecialists and therapies as needed.

The position requires Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or PA certification, Florida APRN/PA license, and pediatric experience with BLS.

Qualifications

• Must have certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Must have current Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.
• Previous pediatric experience required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical and nursing care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses, with a patient/family centered care focus.
• Performs complete or focused physical examinations.
• Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests in order to develop treatment plans.
• Refers clients to other health care professionals and agencies as appropriate for specialized services.
• Develops or approves in-school management plans for patients as appropriate.
• Makes dietary, activity/exercise, counseling, education and health promotion recommendations within the APRN scope of practice.
• Must commit to working 2 Saturdays a month (4 to 6 hours shifts).
• Initiates any other measure/procedure for which the APRN has been trained depending on patient’s condition and judgment of the physician and the APRN.
