Job summary

Nemours is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to work at our Alafaya Primary Care Office in Orlando, Florida. The role covers pediatric medical and nursing care with a focus on family-centered approaches.

Qualified candidates will hold Pediatric NP or PA certification and a Florida APRN/PA license in good standing, with prior pediatric experience. A work-life balance and professional growth are emphasized within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must hold certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Must hold current Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.
• Pediatric experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical and nursing care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses.
• Performs complete or focused physical examinations.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic tests to develop treatment plans.
• Refers patients to other health professionals and services as needed.
• Develops in-school management plans for patients when appropriate.
• Makes health promotion recommendations within APRN scope.
• Commits to two Saturday shifts per month (4–6 hours).
• Initiates additional measures as trained by physician/APRN.

Job Description

Nemours is seeking a full time Advanced Practice Provider to work at our Alafaya Primary Care Office in Orlando, Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides medical and nursing care to pediatric patients with acute or chronic illnesses, with a patient/family centered care focus.
• Performs complete or focused physical examinations.
• Orders, performs, and/or interprets diagnostic or screening tests in order to develop treatment plans.
• Refers clients to other health care professionals and agencies as appropriate for specialized services, including but not limited to: other medical subspecialists, physical and occupational therapy, nutritional counseling and management, special education, growth and development/behavioral counseling.
• Develops or approves in-school management plans for patients as appropriate.
• Makes dietary, activity/exercise, counseling, education and health promotion recommendations within the APRN scope of practice.
• Must commit to working 2 Saturdays a month (4 to 6 hours shifts)
• Initiates any other measure/procedure for which the APRN has been trained depending on patient’s condition and judgment of the physician and the APRN.
