Job summary

Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, Arizona, seeks an ORR Night Youth Care Worker (English/Spanish) to provide safety, overnight supervision, and support for youth as part of their treatment plans. This entry-level role typically reports to a Group Leader.

You will monitor student behaviors, document activities, and collaborate with professional staff to promote health, education, and personal development on a on-site shift schedule that includes weekends and overnight hours.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass bilingual (English/Spanish) assessment.
• Minimum 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
• Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
• Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Night Coach Counselors provide safety and overnight supervision for youth while supporting their physical, personal, and health needs.
• They monitor and document student behaviors and activities, provide individual counseling, and assist with behavioral, social, physical, and educational skill development.
• They maintain a safe and supportive environment and collaborate with professional staff to support each student’s treatment plan.
• This entry-level role primarily handles nightly supervision, safety, and security of students and reports to a Group Leader.
