Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AA degree or 72 college credits or ParaPro Assessment required/acceptable.
• Post-high-school training in child development desired.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking required.
• Math/Reading Skill Test authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Provide MTSS-supported academic and social/behavioral assistance to students.
• Work with students in small groups, large groups, and one-on-one settings.
• Assist teachers and specialists with implementing lesson plans and developing behavioral skills.
• Adapt classroom work to support individual learning objectives.
• Maintain equipment and student records including Medicaid billing for appropriate services.
• Monitor students to ensure a safe, positive learning environment and collect performance data.
• Perform clerical tasks and support home-school communications as needed.
• Use de-escalation and physical intervention techniques per policy when required.
• Assist in developing materials for IEP, FBA, BIP, ERPA, and 504 plans.
