Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree, 72 college credits or pass the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
• Post high school training in child development and related training desired.
• Bilingual/Spanish speaking required.
• Skills Test – For Math and/or Reading Authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to students within MTSS in academic and social/behavioral domains.
• Works with students in groups and individually.
• Assists teachers in implementing lesson plans and developing skills.
• Adapts classroom work under teacher direction to support learning objectives.
• Maintains equipment and student records for safe, appropriate environment.
• Monitors student activities to ensure safety and address learning needs.
• Performs clerical tasks and scheduling to support teachers.
• Uses de-escalation and intervention techniques when needed.
• Assists in developing IEPs, FBAs, BIPs, ERPA, and 504 materials.
