Job summary

Self-Help, a Chicago-based credit union, is seeking a Member Service Representative/Teller for its Archer Heights, IL location. You will help members with transactions, promote financial products, and resolve account issues while delivering friendly, accurate service.

Requirements include a high school graduate, bilingual English/Spanish, and at least one year in a financial or customer service role. Proficiency with credit union systems and Microsoft Office is expected. Compensation is $24/hour.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
1+ year experience in financial institution or customer service preferred.
Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
Fosters teamwork and collaboration; able to learn credit union systems.

Responsibilities

Initiate and lead conversations to identify and assess member needs.
Maintain and enhance member account relationships with excellent service.
Process share deposits, loan payments, and account transfers.
Maintain drawer cash levels within prescribed amounts.
Post and log deposits (night, ATM, mail); participate in dual-control procedures.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
