Job summary

Inland Empire Health Plan is seeking a bilingual Member Services Representative to assist members with Medi-Cal benefits, eligibility, and plan education. The role includes coordinating translations for non-English speakers and collaborating across departments to resolve inquiries while meeting performance standards.

You will work in a fast-paced call center environment, prioritizing member privacy and quality service.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience
• This is a bilingual position; identified bilingual team members must take a language proficiency assessment and pass
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Provide Members with health plan education regarding Medi-Cal benefits, eligibility rules, and coordination of benefits
• Meet IEHP and Member Services Call Center standards and policies, complete required training, and use call scripts professionally
• Provide superior service to delight callers at first point of contact and maintain patience and respect
• Coordinate telephonic translation for non-English speakers
• Ensure privacy and security of PHI per IEHP policies and HIPAA compliance
• Document interactions, complete satisfaction surveys, and track performance metrics
• Assist with navigating self-service options and escalation as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve member and provider inquiries
