Job summary

Building Services 32BJ Benefit Funds seeks a Shortman Services Representative in New York, NY. The role supports training and scholarship benefits, handling high-volume course registrations and participant inquiries.

Responsibilities include customer service, data analysis, LMS/V3 system tasks, and maintaining records for apprenticeship programs. Requires bilingual Spanish/English skills, high school diploma, and on-site Fridays with some local travel.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Excel, Word and Windows-based tools.
• Typing 40+ words per minute.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Answering phone in a professional manner and fielding member requests including high volume Course Registration periods.
• Providing excellent customer service in face to face and phone interactions with participants
• Collecting and analyzing data to resolve problems in real time for eligibility and course/seminar questions
• Managing LMS, V3 and online training fund systems and ensuring data accuracy
• Entering member updates in V3 database and ensuring LMS scores meet standards
• Maintaining LMS and NYS DOL records for the Window Cleaning Apprenticeship program
• Prioritizing work to meet deadlines and travel to training sites as required
• Fluent communication in Spanish and English both verbally and in writing
