Job summary

Miramar Health Center in Kennewick, WA is seeking a Temporary Medical Receptionist for 40 hours per week with a projected end date of 2027-04-02. The role requires greeting patients, data entry, appointment scheduling, and basic billing support, with bilingual English/Spanish skills and a high school diploma.

Pay ranges from $18.45 to $22.60 per hour, DOE, with additional bilingual pay. This position supports Providers and patient care across a growing community health network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year's experience as a receptionist in a clinic preferred.
• Bilingual differential compensation when ALTA score of 9 is achieved.
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills required at a level 9.
• Ability to prioritize work amid interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Answers the phone, transfers calls and takes messages for the clinic.
• Greet patients and maintain patient/visitor logs; notify the appropriate person of arrivals; provide translation as needed.
• Ensure accurate data collection; register new patients and update records.
• Schedule patient appointments per guidelines; notify providers of no-shows and cancellations; adjust schedules as needed.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist patients with questions about plans.
• Handle patient inquiries in person, by phone, and via patient portal.
• May perform routine billing like posting encounters and daily end-of-day reports.
• Review cash receipts and reconcile cash daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
