Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face interpretation between Rohingya/Burmese speaking patients and providers in a clinical setting.
• Convey medical information accurately, including diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Assist patients in understanding and navigating healthcare services, including appointments and referrals.
• Translate medical documents between English and Rohingya/Burmese as needed.
• Act as a cultural liaison to facilitate effective communication between patients and staff.
• Maintain professional boundaries and impartiality in all interactions.
• Stay updated on medical terminology, interpreter ethics, and best practices.
