The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia's UVA Community Health is seeking a Cultural Ambassador II to deliver language support and translation services, helping create a welcoming patient experience for non-English speakers.

You will perform face-to-face and telephone interpretation, translate medical documents, and assist with communications about treatment plans, consent forms, and follow-up care in a fast-paced healthcare setting. NBCMI or CHI licensure is required.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of medical interpreting experience in a healthcare setting.
• NBCMI or CHI certification required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Completion of the 40-hour Bridging the Gap course.

Mansioni

• Provide face-to-face and telephone medical interpretation to patients, families, and visitors.
• Translate medical documents and facilitate communication across care teams.
