UVA Health Prince William Medical Center in Manassas, VA seeks a Cultural Ambassador II to provide interpretation and translation services for non‑English speaking patients and families. This role helps create a remarkable patient experience by bridging language and cultural gaps in a healthcare setting.

Required are at least 3 years of medical interpretation, NBCMI or CHI certification, and strong computer/Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical interpretation and translation in healthcare.
• National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters or Certified Healthcare Interpreter.
• Proficient with computer software and Microsoft Office; comfortable with assessments.

Responsabilités

• Provide face-to-face medical interpretation primarily for patients, families and visitors.
• Provide telephone interpretation services as needed.
• Assist with document translation for UVA Community Health facilities.
• Communicate confidential information accurately for treatment plans and care.
• Support quality and process improvements and respond to urgent requests.
