Qualifications

• One year of medical interpreting experience required.
• Completion of a 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Program.
• Strong Spanish and English fluency; healthcare terminology knowledge.
• Certification within one year if not yet certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional Spanish interpretation for inpatient and outpatient encounters.
• Interpret medications, diagnoses, procedures, and discharge instructions with neutrality.
• Support goals-of-care and end-of-life discussions.
• Educate patients and families across clinical specialties.
