Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interprets spoken language between English and target language for patients, physicians and staff.
• Combines language and cultural interpretation to facilitate understanding.
• May accompany patients to appointments or procedures as needed.
• Translates correspondence and documents from English into target language and vice versa.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Participates in family meetings with social workers to assist in forms and plans.
