Qualifications

• Must demonstrate proficiency as a medical interpreter in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; ability to work within a team.
• Cultural awareness, linguistic/interpretation skills and ethical competency required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate accurate relaying of medical information between patients and clinicians.
• Communicate information about outpatient services, hospitalization and ongoing care clearly.
• Provide interpreter services; convey exact messages without summarization.
• Promote patient confidentiality and dignity; support informed consent.
• Travel between locations to provide services as needed.
