Job summary

UVM Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a full-time Spanish Medical Interpreter to support clear, compassionate communication between providers, patients, and families. This role may also assist Language Access Services with training, education, and committee activities, as part of our commitment to equity and belonging.

The interpreter will travel to multiple UVM Health sites in Vermont and Plattsburgh, NY, providing professional medical interpretation and ensuring adherence to ethical

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of professional community interpreting experience.
• High proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Completion of a 60-hour medical interpreter training.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and cultural humility.
• Strong knowledge of the National Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
• Ability to work in dynamic clinical environments with professionalism and compassion.
• Willingness to travel to different UVM Health sites in VT and Plattsburgh NY.
