Job summary

Treasure Coast Community Health, Inc. seeks a Receptionist/Front Desk - Medical to deliver exemplary customer service to patients across TCCH centers.

The role operates a multi-line phone system, schedules/reschedules medical and dental visits, and verifies insurances prior to appointments while updating patient information. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus healthcare reception experience; bilingual English/Spanish candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are given top consideration.

Responsibilities

• Opens front door, admits patients, and directs them to waiting area.
• Answers calls on the multi-line system and routes to appropriate personnel; verifies insurance authorizations.
• Checks patient insurance at scheduling or check-in as needed.
• Assists with patient accounts, cashier duties, and daily cash drawer reconciliation.
• Informs patients of balances and sliding scale options; directs to proper department.
• Requests supplies to maintain adequate inventory; provides information about the organization.
• Communicates with Site Manager and physicians to ensure smooth operations.
• Attends mandatory training and contributes notes for team meetings.
• Assists with scheduling and rescheduling; coordinates patient flow from check-in to examination.
• Supports patients with translations and registration; maintains confidentiality and comforts patients.
