Hanger, Inc. in North Miami Beach, FL seeks an entry-level Medical Receptionist who is Spanish/English bilingual to welcome patients, verify demographics and insurance, and register walk-ins at the front desk.

The role supports the RCM team, schedules appointments, collects copays, and maintains accurate electronic health records, with no extensive healthcare experience required and opportunities to grow in the healthcare field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required.
• Experience in a receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Welcome people as they enter the clinic receptionist/front desk.
• Communicate anticipated wait times and delays.
• Check-in patients at the front desk and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Complete patient registration for walk-ins at the reception desk.
• Collect patient out-of-pocket responsibilities (deductibles, copays, etc.).
• Schedule next appointments at checkout for casts, measurements, deliveries, or care plans.
• Assist RCM team in obtaining missing information from patients.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records.
