Job summary

Planned Parenthood California Central Coast (PPCCC) seeks an experienced front office assistant to act as an ambassador for patients seeking services. You will perform patient registration, schedule appointments, and manage referrals within the Practice Management System.

This role emphasizes welcoming patients, removing barriers to care, and accurate data entry. A starting wage of $25.00/hour is offered, with bilingual Spanish/English differential pay upon language assessment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to relate to diverse communities.
• Thorough knowledge of medical billing terminology is desirable.
• Must be able to travel within PPCCC geographic area (Thousand Oaks to San Luis Obispo).

Responsibilities

• Welcomes each patient by smiling, providing direct eye contact and taking a moment to make a connection.
• Focus on removing barriers to care by acting ambassador to explore ways to care no matter what
• Provides client with correct documents for patient registration.
• Ensures accurate and detailed patient information is entered into Practice Management System (PM).
• Scan into patient account insurance cards and picture ID
• Schedules health center appointments, provides information and appropriate referrals
• Scrubs appointment schedule at least two days ahead for funding availability, appropriate appointment scheduling.
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
