Job summary

Planned Parenthood California Central Coast (PPCCC) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support reproductive health services with compassionate, patient-centered care. You will handle patient intake, data entry in NextGen, and coordination of appointments in a busy clinical setting.

The role requires a Medical Assistant Certificate and at least one year of health care or customer service experience. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, with a $1.00/hour bilingual differential after language

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Experience with Electronic Health Care systems preferred.
• Ability to relate to diverse communities.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.

• Availability to work flexible hours, as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, schedule appointments, and prepare patient information.
• Enter patient information into NextGen EHR.
• Maintain patient records for completeness and accuracy.
• Complete related financial paperwork for clients.
• Copy/transfer medical information as needed per guidelines.
• Assist with prescription refill visits.
• Comply with infection control, safety and emergency guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Follow all PPCCC policies for mandated reporting.
