Legacy Community Health in Houston is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our primary care team at Gulfton location. You will support examinations, labs, and patient education, ensuring a welcoming, respectful experience for every patient and family.

This role emphasizes culturally sensitive, language-appropriate care, teamwork, and ongoing quality improvement while you gain hands-on experience in a community health setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/CPR Certification required.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish required.
• Up to one year experience.
• Up to three years’ experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Record patients' medical history and test results in medical records.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens; log and prepare for testing.
• Assist physicians in examining and treating patients by handing instruments.
• Give injections and remove sutures as directed.
• Prepare exam rooms for patient examinations, including cleaning and restocking.
• Provide patient education and follow-up support.
• Participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives.
