Legacy Community Health is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant for the Gulfton location in Houston. The role supports a collaborative primary care team, assists with examinations, procedures, lab work, and patient education to deliver compassionate, whole-person care.

The position emphasizes cultural and language-sensitive care, teamwork, and strong communication. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with opportunities for professional growth within a long-standing community health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Up to one year of experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, and information such as test results in medical records.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Assist physicians in examining and treating patients by handing instruments and materials.
• Give injections and remove sutures as directed.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain cleanliness and stock.
• Provide phone consultations regarding test results and health concerns.
• Administer medications as ordered and ensure proper documentation of patient care.
