Job summary

Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH) is hiring a Medical Assistant to support providers with diagnostic testing, exams, patient education, and clerical tasks. You will prepare patients, record vital signs, and assist with procedures in a team-based environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and completion of an accredited MA program or BOMEX-equivalent guidelines. Bilingual English/Spanish and the ability to work in Arizona are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (or BOMEX guidelines equivalent) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• New hires must pass pre-employment background check and drug testing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record health history.
• Set up EKG machines, administer injections and medications, and collect specimens.
• Assist provider with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
• Manage inventory and stock medical supplies; organize exam rooms.
• Handle patient check-in/out, scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations.
• May travel to offsite locations to perform diagnostic testing and assist in exams.
