Job summary

Arizona Kidney Disease and Hypertension Center (AKDHC) is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant to support front and back office at the Banner Desert Office. The role includes patient check-in/check-out, chart updates, vital signs and EMR data entry, and coordinating procedures.

Bilingual Spanish and English is preferred. You will work under supervision, ensure HIPAA compliance, and provide excellent patient service while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current certification as Medical Assistant preferred or diploma/certificate from recognized program.
• Fluent Spanish and English preferred for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with patients, staff and vendors.
• 1–2 years front/back office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform back-office and front-office patient care tasks and educate patients.
• Schedule and process 24-hour blood pressure monitoring as needed.
• Record vital signs and update patient charts/EMR with accurate data.
• Notify physician of changes in patient status or abnormal test results.
• Handle clerical tasks: filing, scheduling, data entry, phones, mail.
