Job summary

Cano Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in examinations, treatments, and care coordination. The role combines clinical duties with administrative responsibilities to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited MA program, BLS, and at least two years of MA experience. Proficiency in English and Spanish is required, with experience in EMR systems such as eCW.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or certification.
• Active and current BLS certification.
• Minimum of two years of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document health concerns and medical history.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, SpO2, height, weight).
• Administer vaccines and injections with proper documentation.
• Perform point-of-care testing and assist with phlebotomy and specimen transport.
• Assist with EKGs, imaging, and diagnostic workflows; support care coordination.
