Job summary

Cano Health in Georgia is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in examination, treatment, and care coordination, delivering high-quality patient care.

The role requires both clinical proficiency and administrative capabilities, including EMR documentation, immunizations, phlebotomy, vital signs, EKGs, and patient engagement, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or MA certification.
• Active and current BLS certification.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and document top complaints and medical history.
• Measure and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, height, weight).
• Administer vaccines and injections with proper documentation.
• Conduct point-of-care testing (COVID-19, flu, glucose, etc.).
• Perform phlebotomy and manage specimen collection/transport.
• Assist with EKGs, spirometry, and RetinaVue imaging.
• Maintain infection control and PPE usage; prepare exam rooms.
