Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience or clinical rotation accepted.
• CPR for Health Care workers or BCLS certification preferred.
• HIPAA compliance and confidentiality required.
• Geriatric care experience a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus; strong communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures and therapies.
• Take vital signs, collect medical history, and prepare for exams.
• Explain treatments and physician instructions to patients.
• Order, prepare and coordinate radiographic and lab studies.
• Maintain medical records and coordinate communications with patients.
• Provide patient health coaching and ensure OSHA and safety compliance.
• Travel locally up to 10% to assist other centers as needed.
