Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in Tampa is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support in outpatient and hospital settings. You will help manage patient flow, document accurately in the EHR, and educate patients on meds and care plans.

The role requires MA program graduation, BLS, and EHR experience with Epic/Athena/Cerner. Prior certification is preferred; bilingual EN/ES is a plus. Competitive benefits offered including health, 401(k), PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification required; bilingual preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems (Epic/Athena/Cerner) is expected.
• Certification/registration (AAMA, AMT, NHA or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes: vitals, histories, meds, allergies.
• Assist providers during exams, procedures, wound care, and testing.
• Perform EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection per policy.
• Prepare, label, and process lab samples and point-of-care tests.
• Maintain infection control, safety, and equipment calibration.
• Document data in EHR and coordinate patient care transitions.
