Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Greensboro, NC is hiring a Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact for patient care. The role combines administrative duties with clinical tasks and requires biliterate English/Spanish communication and CPR certification.

The MA will handle vital signs, vaccination administration where permitted, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and EMR documentation, collaborating with physicians and advanced practitioners to deliver quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider.
• CPR Certified
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, and administer medications/vaccines as allowed by certification.
• Phlebotomy, collect specimens, and perform diagnostic screening tests.
• Sterilize/clean equipment and maintain examination rooms; document information into the EMR system.
• Collaborate closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers; deliver direct patient care within certification limits.
